Fat Cat

I drew the classic West Village staple. It is a pool hall with live jazz every night and an electric audience, engaging with the music while enjoying billiards, ping pong, shuffleboard, foosball, chess, and each other. 

I tried to capture several of these facets, including the jazz performers, chess tables, billiards and foosball players. 

It was a joy to capture performers interacting with their instruments, and the body language of the folks playing and thinking through table games.

I used parallel pen on location and added digital pops of color afterward.
